Food waste is collected and hauled away to the composting site
The food waste is piled in heaps and much is added as a source of carbon.
Water keeps the pile moist and frequent turning or aeration allows for micro and macro organisms to thrive in the aerobic environment
Particles eventually become smaller and smaller until the compost is ready to be reused to start the cycle all over again!
